The Art & Craft of Songwriting

with Mark Sholtez and Jen Mize

Throughout history, people have used song as a way of telling stories. That tradition of storytelling through music has been key to the successes of some of our most celebrated singer/songwriters, including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchel, Paul Simon, and James Taylor.

With a particular focus on the craft of lyric writing, this special workshop aims to highlight how form and structure serve as the body language of your ideas. Through the exploration of various musical and lyrical elements, you will learn how to support your creative ideas with an array of songwriting tools designed to help you to bring your own unique stories to life.
