Hiring facilities
The facilities of the University are primarily used for educational and research purposes of the University. Where these facilities are not fully utilised for such purposes, they are available for use by University and external organisations on a hire basis, subject to the conditions of the Campus Site Licence or internal hire guidelines.
Approved activities
Activities undertaken within these facilities should be consistent with the functions of the University. Where doubt exists, Campus Services will make a determination as to the suitability of any specific event based on the amenity of the space and the activity’s impact on nearby functions of the University. For example, it would be inappropriate to hold loud activities adjacent to study areas or events that clash with peak University activities. Other elements that will be taken into consideration include:-
- USQ Hire of Facilities Policy
- Internal Hire Guidelines
- USQ Insurance Policy
- Alcohol and Drugs and Smoking on University Sites policies
- Food Standards Code
- Commercial arrangements with USQ tenants
- Other relevant USQ Policies
In addition, when utilising the spaces listed below, USQ Artsworx are able to offer additional services and equipment (including staff, ticketing, pianos and so on) to ensure your event is a great success.
