The Artsworx Artist Directory is a unique directory of Music, Visual and Performing artists in the Toowoomba and South-East Queensland area, providing a easy way to link you with artists for your next event or program.

Our artists are graduates, current students or affiliates of the University of Southern Queensland’s Creative Arts programs, ensuring a quality and professional standard that can be relied on. Bonnie Green

Ace of Hearts

Skills: Pianist & Vocalist

Genre: Pop, Jazz

Bonnie is a performer, accompanist, composer and teacher currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy (Music) at the University of Southern Queensland. As a pianist, Bonnie has played a lead role for many musical productions with organisations such as the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba Philharmonic Society. As a pianist and singer, Bonnie has also worked with the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra, the Toowoomba Vocal Ensemble and has been a guest performer at the Toowoomba Jazz Club. Outside of Toowoomba, Bonnie has performed as part of the orchestra for The Australian Beatles Show and has performed and been an accompanist at Stanthorpe’s Opera in the Vineyard and Warwick’s Jumpers in Jazz festival. Although a solo pianist, Bonnie is currently building her repertoire as a vocalist.

Bonnie can play solo or as part of her duo ensemble, Two of Diamonds.

Courtney Feldman

Skills: Pianist & Vocalist

Genre: Jazz & Pop

Courtney Feldman is a passionate pianist, vocalist, educator and researcher, who is currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy (Music) at the University of Southern Queensland. Courtney has studied with a number of world class professionals including Dr Melissa Forbes (contemporary voice); Jeannie LoVetri (Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method); Brenda Earle Stokes (jazz voice); Nathan Seiler (jazz piano); and Dr Marilyn Meier Kapavale (classical piano). Courtney has performed as a member of ‘The Keyboard Ticklers’, an ensemble of pianists who performed arrangements for 20-24 piano hands, as featured in Artsworx Twilight Series concerts; and as a member of ‘The Harmony Wednesdays’, an a capella ensemble comprised of USQ music staff, alumni and students, as featured in the 2018 Artsworx production ‘Something in the Water’.

Courtney has performed at a number of USQ official ceremonies and functions; the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers; and the DooBop Jazz Bar (Brisbane). Courtney’s clear and expressive vocals, and mellow warmth of pianism, bring an easy-listening quality to her interpretations of jazz standards and contemporary jazz and pop repertoire alike. She is known for her elegant, polished and vibrant personal style; her professionalism; her attention to detail; and her confident, engaging demeanour on and off stage. Her quality of performance can be tailored to suit ambient background music, corporate functions and formal events alike.

Jess Betts

Skills: Pianist & Vocalist

Genre: Jazz, Pop & Musical Theatre

Jess is an enthusiastic performer, accompanist, teacher and facilitator just about to undertake her Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) at the University of Southern Queensland. As a pianist, Jess has performed in numerous shows at Artsworx including ‘Something in the Water’, worked on recording projects with local artists and played gigs locally and around Brisbane. As an accompanist and facilitator Jess works with choirs around the region including the Toowoomba Park’n’Song Choir and Philharmonic Society Glee Choirs.

Fusing her unique mix of musical flair and dynamic versatility Jess works in collaboration with Courtney Feldman and Nicky Parigi, among others to form duo’s suitable for all events.

Leah Lever Leah Lever - Soprano

Skills: Solo soprano (vocalist)

Genre: Contemporary ballads (50s, 60s & 70s), musical theatre, disney, cabaret & classical

Leah Lever is a talented soprano who has performed on some of the finest stages in Brisbane as well as at Twin Towns in NSW. As the protege of world-famous soprano Mirusia, Leah was Mirusia’s duet partner and personally-invited backing vocalist for two  concerts in 2016.

Leah has been a soloist at the Christmas by Starlight event for the past four years in her hometown of Redland City. She has her own touring show of musical theatre and golden era ballads, and is a member of the Neil Diamond Tribute show, Shiloh.

As well as this impressive performance background, Leah has over 10 years worth of musical training having achieved Level 8 AMEB (voice) and Level 7 Trinity College of London (trumpet). She is currently completing her Bachelor of Creative Arts at USQ.

Nicky Parigi

Skills: Singer

Genre: Jazz, Soul, Blues, Pop

Nicky Parigi is a singer with a voice reminiscent of some the greatest female jazz singers of the 1920s. However, Nicky doesn’t just sing jazz, she covers a range of genres, including pop, soul, R&B, rock, folk and blues. Performing songs from classic artists from Elvis Presley and Billie Holiday, to contemporary greats like Ed Sheeran and Norah Jones. Nicky continues to build her diverse repertoire, and welcomes song requests.

Currently based in Toowoomba and the greater Brisbane area, Nicky performs in a variety of line ups, from duo to full band, but most often can be heard working in collaboration with pianist Jess Betts. This duo regularly performs in restaurants, pubs, cafes, weddings and more, always providing the perfect, relaxing atmosphere.

Sarah Talbot

Sarah Talbot

Skills: Soprano (vocalist)

Genre: Classical, Folk, Ballad, Contemporary

Sarah is a soprano singer, originally from Toowoomba, Qld. She has been involved in music since primary school, starting out in school choirs and progressing into community groups.

Sarah recently returned from performing London, having spent a number of years working with the London Symphony Chorus (LSC). While with the LSC, Sarah performed at world class venues including Royal Albert Hall, Barbican in London, The Philharmonie de Paris in Paris and the KKL Centre in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Additionally Sarah has performed with the West End Musical Choir at events such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. She has recorded with both London Symphony and West End Musical Choir at Abbey Road Studios, and has been apart of televised events at the BBC Proms Festival. Sarah has also participated in Eric Whitacre’s Virtual Choir, and been recording original work at RS Artists Studios in London.

As a soloist, Sarah has performed and competed in many soprano competitions, in both classical and contemporary genres. Previous to moving to London, Sarah was heavily involved with the choirs of the Toowoomba Choral Society, and performed onstage and offstage in community theatre productions at the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba Choral Society.

Tammy Sarah Linde

Skills: Singer-songwriter (piano player), cabaret artist, voice actor, performance actor

Tammy Sarah Linde is an accomplished director, performer and voice over artist. Emerging into the professional sphere in 2014, Tammy has recorded voice over narration for several major national and international clients (such as Westpac, SunSuper, QSuper, AMP, Twitter and more) whilse also developing and performing her award-winning cabaret show “I Dated Batman”.

In 2017, Tammy was honoured to work with Priscilla Cameron on her Australian Feature Film “The Butterfly Tree” in which Tammy plays a cameo comedic role by the name of Sarah. Tammy has also fostered a thriving theatre career with acting and directing credits. A few highlights include Company (Ignatians Musical Society) in 2014, several performances during 2015-2017 in the Anywhere and Short & Sweet Festivals, Two Weeks with the Queen (THAT Production Company) in 2016 and Cluedo (Brisbane Immersive Ensemble) in 2017. She has been director of two Queensland Amateur Premieres (Sunday in the Park with George for IMTC 2016; Big Fish for Phoenix Ensemble 2018).

Courtney Feldman & Jess Betts

Skills: Duo – Piano & Vocals

Genre: Jazz & Pop

Together, Courtney Feldman and Jess Betts are a stylish duo who perform easy listening jazz and pop arrangements for voice and piano. Courtney and Jess joined forces in 2018, and have since performed regularly at locations in the Toowoomba region. They perform jazz standards, including both latin and swing styles, in addition to contemporary jazz and pop repertoire from artists including Norah Jones, Melody Gardot, Jamie Cullum, Michael Buble, Carole King, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder. Their polished style of presentation and engaging personalities bring a quality of performance that can be tailored to suit ambient background music, corporate functions and formal events alike.

Outside of their duo, Courtney performs as a solo and collaborative pianist and vocalist and runs a busy independant music studio in Toowoomba QLD. She is currently completing her PhD at USQ, where she is researching how high-level vocal jazz improvisers learn.

Jess actively works as an accompanist, teacher and facilitator in the Toowomba region, and will shortly graduate from the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Music) program at USQ.

Two of Diamonds

Skills: Duo – Piano & Vocals

Genre: Pop

Duo Two of Diamonds consists of vocalist Jessica Berwick and pianist and backup vocalist Bonnie Green. Two of Diamonds formed around 2013 and have performed at various functions and events. They are known for their sweet harmonies, upbeat tunes and their ability to switch to each other’s instruments when no one’s watching.

Two of Diamonds perform predominately popular music. Their repertoire includes songs originally performed by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Michael Buble, The Supremes, Norah Jones and Louis Armstrong to name a few. Two of Diamonds are continually adding to their repertoire songs that are recently released as well as old time classics.

Outside of their duo, Jess frequently performs as a soloist. She is a lead vocalist in Toowoomba’s Cool Nights Big Band and has performed around Queensland including on Hamilton Island. Bonnie also performs as a piano soloist under the name Ace of Hearts.

Dan Elborne

Skills: Ceramic artist, academic/philosophical writing, studio technician.

Dan Elborne is an Australian artist, currently completing his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) through USQ focused on his art practice. His preferred working material is clay. Elborne creates ceramic installations and sculpture, which draw from varying points of personal experience and significance. Elborne has exhibited extensively throughout Australia including shows at Artisan, QCA Gallery & the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts in Brisbane, Home at 735 Gallery, Conny Dietzschold Gallery & Olsen Irwin Gallery in Sydney and Beth Hulme Gallery in Melbourne. He has also participated in various international exhibitions through galleries such as La Fermeture Éclair Gallery & Le Cabanon Gallery in France, Listhus Gallery in Iceland and Apple House Gallery & Window 107 in Denmark.

His work has been published in national and international publications and he has received the Bellmaine French Appreciation Travelling Scholarship through the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and the 2016 Sainsbury Sculpture Grant through the National Association of Visual Arts (NAVA).

Brodie Taylor

Skills: Oil Painter, Printmaker & Bookbinder

Brodie Taylor is an Australian artist, Currently completing his Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) through USQ. Taylor focuses on both mythological and historical story telling through portraiture and more tactile processes such as printmaking and artist books. Taylor has exhibited extensively around Queensland, including shows at the Manly Library, New South Wales; Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, Stanthorpe Regional Gallery and No Comply Gallery in Queensland. His work is currently present in numerous collections including the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery, and several University and private collections.

Taylor is the recipient of the Toowoomba Biennial  Emerging Artist Award,  2016, finalist for the Manly Artist Book Awards, 2015, Highly Commended, The Australian Bookplate Design Award, 2015 and the Murray’s Art and Framing Emerging Artist Award, 2014.

Clint Bolster Clint Bolter

Skills: Actor, clown, MC, stilt performer and mask specialist.

Clint Bolster is a prominent Character Actor, Theatrical Clown, Commedia Dell’Arte & Mask Theatre Specialist, Stilt Performer & Trainer and Teaching Artist in Brisbane, Qld. His noted skills have been developed over the past 15 years through extensive training and performance experience locally, nationally and internationally in Australia, United Kingdom, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. He also plays the German Hand Bells.
