Workshop: Printmaking with Stephen Spurrier
Learn printmaking from USQ’s master printmaker
In this one-day workshop, you will get a taste for printmaking and have the opportunity to explore what’s on offer inside the USQ printmaking studio.
You will work with Stephen, the USQ printmaking master, to explore a range of simple methods for creating stunning images on paper, giving you your very own amazing works to take home.
You will also learn a variety of different plate making methods including crayon resist and sugar lift. The workshop will also cover intaglio printing techniques including viscosity, stencilling processes and various screen-printing techniques.
No experience is necessary but this workshop is not for the faint hearted!
Workshop fee includes lunch and materials.
About Stephen Spurrier
Stephen Spurrier is the USQ Associate Lecturer of Printmaking and has a Masters of Fine Art (RMIT, 1994), Fellowship Diploma (RMIT, 1970), Associate Diploma (RMIT, 1967).
You can see Stephen’s work in state galleries across the world and in many other public collections including Parliament House in Canberra, Artbank and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
