Wonderful Watercolour

Materials: $300 – $400*

This well-structured workshop is an insight into the transparent qualities and flow of the watercolour medium, including the appropriate use of wet-in-wet underpainting to obtain luminosity and vitality!

From concept (including helpful drawing methods) to design, participants will be introduced to thoughtful and creative ways of achieving pleasing qualities to their work, while pursuing the all-important “Big Picture”.

Suitable class demonstrations in two stages will feature various aspects of landscape, buildings/urban and man – made objects, as well as figurative works and portraiture.

Exercises will emphasise light, shape and form, with appropriate colour possibilities. General appraisal, teaching notes and reference information will be provided.

This workshop is senior secondary student friendly (bookable for those 15+).

About Ross

With art as a lifelong profession, Ross is a leading Australian painter of landscape. In watercolour, the medium that he has excelled at and is most recognised internationally for, Ross has been published widely throughout Europe and Asia – China in particular.

He has been constantly invited to exhibit in Biennials worldwide and to also teach in Europe and China and Australasia. Ross has held exhibitions in Shanghai, Taiyuan, Qingdao, in China, in France and in Australia.

An experienced trained teacher of Fine Arts he imparts his knowledge freely and in a clear, concise manner for all students to understand.
