The landscape is ever changing and full of light!

In this class you will explore the effect of light on colour as well as learn how to capture aerial perspective through working with landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes with pastel.

You’ll start with some basic art theory to refresh and revisit your pastel foundations.

From this base you will develop a new approach to and understanding of composition and how to use it.

Across the five days you will gain a greater understanding of colours including how to mix them as well as how to limit them for great landscape effects.

Exploring paper choices, underpainting options and application techniques, you will learn how to get the most out of your pastels, creating a new depth in your own works.
