Oils with Hobie Porter
Light, Shadow & Colour
Skill: Intermediate to advanced
This workshop is designed to extend your technical and creative ability by maximising your use of light, dark and colour in your landscape painting.
Hobie Porter is a nationally recognised oil painter who also has a knack for teaching and explaining complex oil painting procedures in a simple manner. In his Summer Retreat class will begin by working on a small preparatory tonal painting of your chosen subject, then proceed to a larger canvas of the same subject working towards producing a fully executed landscape painting.
Bring a good quality large landscape photograph of your choice (both in greyscale and colour) to work from and two canvasses, plus your standard oil painting kit. You’ll leave with a true masterpiece to add to your collection plus a brand new skill set to apply to your practice.
This workshop is senior secondary student friendly (bookable for those 15+).Materials list
