About the workshop
From the enthusiastic beginner to the skilful hobbyist this drawing class has something for everyone!
Using pencil, pen, charcoal and limited watercolour you’ll explore drawing basics, before discovering the application of tone, texture and shape in order to leap into the world of composition and watercolour washes.
Cees will have you exploring landscapes, cityscapes and a still life, while using a wide variety of tools and techniques, helping you develop new skills and uncover your creative flair.
The small class size will allow your tutor to provide individualised feedback, specific to your skill level, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their creative weekend and leaves with a number of artworks they never thought possible!Materials list
Cees taught fine arts at TAFE for a number of years before starting his own Art School Aquartists located in Cannon Hill, Qld. His ability to expertly convey his impressive drawing skills to students of any level has made him a highly sought after tutor nationally and internationally.
While a regular at the McGregor Retreats, Cees has taught all across the world including New Zealand, France, Italy, England and Greece. His approach to teaching involves both traditional and abstract techniques, priding himself on understanding your style in order to provide meaningful feedback, assisting you on your artistic journey.
As an artist he has won various prestigious prizes and held many successful solo and collaborative exhibitions across Australia and Europe.
