This workshop aims to explore acrylic paint in a variety of applications including as a wash, with texture, with other mediums and it’ll also touch on alternative palette knife work. You will produce works that are creative, explorative and imaginative.
You’ll be encouraged to open up to creativity, play with your inner sense of anticipation and face the creative unknown.
In part, you will focus on self-expressive passion and using colour to make your works sing or pop.

Maryika has been working as an artist and educator from her base in Toowoomba, QLD for 30 years.
Maryika’s successful creative practice involves the exploration of colour, texture and printmaking across multiple mediums. At the core of her practice is a solid base in life-drawing; this has laid the foundations for her many artistic outlets.
As an artist, Maryika is busy touring, curating and developing commissioned murals; as an arts community leader she is an active member of the Arts Council Toowoomba, a sought-after judge and mentor, and was the Australian representative at the Florence Biennale in 2009.
