Taking a look back to the lettering samplers of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements of the late 1800s and early 1900s you will draw, pen and paint intricate letterforms using designs influenced by artists such as Alphonse Mucha and later Charles Rennie & Margaret Mackintosh, featuring the Glasgow Four.
You will create lettering works with accompanying designs with a strong reflection of 1920s modernism. This inspiring and stimulating workshop will have you exploring techniques such as gouache, watercolour, brush, pen and ink and pencil.
