About the class
This workshop will introduce the art of illustration in all its wide breadth of styles. Examples of the best work from artists around the world will be examined and discussed, and the key elements of illustration discussed and applied. The fundamentals will be taught, along with easy to follow methods for creating these figurative artworks.
Media technique will be explored including watercolour paints, Indian ink, and colour pencils.
Botanical illustration inspired by the beautiful surrounding landscape will also be explored and ultimately combined with fashion images to create artistic and arresting artworks.
Suitable for all levels – limited numbers will allow for one-on-one attention, and thorough information provided will allow for complete beginners through to the experienced. Challenging and fun.
Angie Réhe is a Melbourne-based fashion illustrator and educator whose work celebrates her love of both Art and Fashion, having worked for some time as a fashion designer. Her fresh, chic and timeless work has been sought by clients including Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Jimmy Choo, Penguin Books and Mimco amongst others.
Angie balances freelance work with writing for her illustrated blog Patysfox, and she runs her own boutique-style Fashion Illustration classes. Angie regularly provides guest workshops and masterclasses for Universities and art galleries around Australia.
